Anthony Chavez Wins the 2008 Cabrinha Race Series Anthony Chavez has added his third Cabrinha Race Series win with his 2008 Series victory. When the US Sailing Association recognized kiteboarding as an official fleet category, the St. Francis Yacht Club agreed to support an annual race series that was sponsored by Cabrinha. The Yacht Club has been incredibly supportive over the years and kite course racing has exploded in popularity. So much so, that kiteboarding companies have started to take notice and are working to develop race and speed related products. Fast is back in vogue and an exclamation point was recently added with a kiteboarder claiming the fastest 500m speed course record at 49.84 knots. Naish believes that it has an even faster kite in the redesigned 2009 Helix. Anthony was only able to ride the new Helix a few times, but feels that it will allow him to go even faster and be more competitive in the 2009 Race Series. Congratulations Anthony for you 2008 Cabrinha Series win, and good luck next year on the new gear.

Naish Cult Proves Itself To Be a Well Rounded Kite The 2008 Cult ushered in a completely new design concept from Naish. Although the technologies of the Sigma Outline and GeoTech had been logically conceived and tested by Naish, it remained uncertain how the kiteboarding public would receive them. Over a year later, and kiteboarders worldwide are voting with an enthusiastic “Thumbs Up”. The All-Terrain performance is suitable for all skill levels and allows beginners thru advanced kiters to reach their full potential. This year Anthony Chavez also proved that the kite was fast by winning the Cabrinha 2008 Race Series on production Cults. For 2009 the kite has been improved with the addition of our new Direct Response Steering and Low Drag Wingtips. Check out http://www.naishkites.com/2009/cult09 for all the information. Naish wishes to congratulate Anthony Chavez for his third Cabrinha Race Series Title and to wish him luck in 2009.
